Overview
The main focus of this role will be to assist in the implementation and actualization of Red Hat OpenShift.

Position Core Responsibilities:
  • Perform in technical role in the construction of a new data management platform
  • Upon deployment of the solution, will be expected to administer, support and perform capacity planning for system components.
  • Participate in full development life cycle from definition to design to delivery
  • Meet aggressive deadlines with focus on technical quality and system performance
  • Deliver testable and maintainable distributed systems
 
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 5+ years executing in a DevOps or System Engineer role
  • Strong hands-on experience in RedHat OpenShift
  • 2+ years of experience with Docker/Docker-Compose, building and managing containers with Kubernetes, DCOS, Mesos or other relevant experience
  • 4+ years Linux background with a broad understanding of managing and provisioning Linux based VMs
  • 2+ years of experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools
  • 2+ years of experience working with Chef, Puppet, Ansible or similar technologies
  • 2+ years of experience in implementing solutions utilizing cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
  • Highly technical experience in implementing distributed enterprise solutions
  • Proven track record of deploying system components for high volume data solutions including utilization of caching and distribution technologies like Kafka and Redis
  • Working experience in building and owning successful system monitoring solutions
  • Experience working with Oracle and/or SQL databases; NoSQL preferred
  • Knowledgeable in Java application development
  • Experience working in an agile scrum development model
