We are looking for a high-energy, results-driven individual, excited to define new market opportunities, drive new product development, and successfully bring those products to market. The Product Manager will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, to define and create industry-changing products. The Product Manager must be able to consistently and successfully deliver quality products and features with limited supervision under competing deadlines.


  • Executes the discovery phase of the SDLC through exploring business problem statements and pain points, and identifying possible feature/functionality needs to address them.
  • Employs lean methodology to define business problems, form hypotheses, test and validate solutions, and continue with the build > measure > learn cycle.
  • Regularly employs data and web analytics into their feature requirements, iteration, and analysis; proactively reports back metrics on feature adoption & success post-release.  
  • Collaborates with the UI/UX designer on wireframe iterations and user persona artifacts
  • Contributes to feature ROI analysis including the identification of cost, expected revenue, and key success metrics.
  • Provides robust competitive market analysis for all major feature proposals.
  • Makes tradeoff and priority decisions within their own portfolio and explains/defends those decisions to the business and clients when necessary.
  • Maintains a quality groomed backlog with prioritized user stories within their own portfolio that are ready for execution by the development team.
  • Oversees the activities of the engineering team within the agile framework, , participates in "Agile SCRUM rituals/ceremonies,” and ensures quality outcomes while meeting sprint commitments.
  • Collaborates with a vast number of different business stakeholders, builds quality relationships, participates in job shadowing activities & communicates timelines and activities to stakeholders and the business.
  • Can effectively demo new features to the business and explain product functionality.
  • Proactively and effectively collaborates with business stakeholders on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure features meet business expectations prior to release.
  • Proactively and effectively plans and executes feature roll-out programs to ensure successful adoption of a new product or feature.
  • Takes ownership of and successfully executes an elevated portfolio or responsibility which provides benefit to the team (Agile implementation, social media, analytics, light managerial duties, client relationships or other).
  • Is capable of leading and organizing the team in the absence of the Senior Product Manager including running all team meetings, keeping sprint deliverables on track, responding to requests and escalations and other duties as needed.
  • Is capable of directing Steering Committee level meetings with business stakeholders in the absence of the Senior Product Manager. 
  • May supervise Product Managers or Associate Product Managers.


  • Reports bugs found in product(s) through the appropriate channel.
  • Collaborates with the Support team when needed to answer product questions from the end-user
  • Completing robust third party product evaluations using a weighted scorecard, as needed
  • Collaborating with other Departments within the IT organization, as needed
  • Working with Procurement on third party/vendor contract negotiations, as needed
  • Efficiently manages multiple projects with competing deadlines.


  • May coach, lead and motivate the team to meet strict deadlines.
  • May determine and adjust team and individual objectives.
  • May monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • May be responsible for establishing a positive work environment, providing career development opportunities, executing performance management, conducting feedback sessions, maintaining accountability and establishing goals for continuous improvement.
  • Bring extraordinarily high personal energy to the task at hand, and create an environment that fosters passion and teamwork.
  • Understand and has experience in leading change.
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.


  • 3-5+ years in product management; 2+ years experience with launching new products
  • Experience managing projects and meeting timelines
  • Experience launching and maintaining iOS and Android mobile apps desired


  • B2B and B2C product experience (preferred)
  • Experience designing/building for desktop as well as iOS and Android mobile apps (preferred)
  • Competitive product pricing (preferred)
  • Utilizing market research and competitive analysis to define new product opportunities
  • Presenting and defending new product opportunities to senior company leadership using quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Working with senior company leadership on product strategy alignment
  • Successfully building and shipping new products
  • Defining "MVP” and post "MVP” for new products
  • Successfully taking new products to market
  • Tracking product adoption utilizing web analytics tools
  • Defining and tracking new product KPIs

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to learn and use product management software, such as Rally, JIRA, or other applications.
  • Expertise in the use of Microsoft applications; specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Knowledge of Agile SCRUM and Lean methodologies
  • Ability to learn and analyze data from web analytics tools like Heap, Google Analytics, Omniture or Mixpanel
  • Knowledge of wireframing or prototyping tools such as Balsamiq, Sketch, or Invision desired
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as pivot tables, surveys, and focus groups
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers about product details and technical options.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Minimum Education Level:

  • BA/BS or MS degree or related subject matter experience and/or a BA/MA business degree
  • Product Management training in Agile, Pragmatic Marketing, or General Assembly desired
    Project Management training desired
