Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Genuent may share your Personal Information with third parties or Genuent customers for employment, recruitment, and placement services, for potential employment opportunities with customers who are seeking employees who have your qualifications, or to a customer with whom you have been placed by Genuent, in order to integrate with their employment or application process. Genuent may also share your information with third party service providers which are under contract to us, for the provision of the services for which you or one of our clients has contracted. Protecting Your Information

We want your information to remain as secure as reasonably possible. How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Where we send your data

We collect this information for the purposes described above and may share  as outlined in the section titled, “How We May Share Your Information” above.  Genuent will not collect additional categories of Personal Information or use the Personal Information for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without providing you notice.

b.   Rights of California Residents

Under California Laws, California residents have the following rights (“Rights”) listed below.

Disclosure & Access Rights:

California residents have the right to request that we disclose to them:

(i) the categories of Personal Information we have collected about them,
(ii) the categories of sources from which Personal Information is collected,
(iii) the business or commercial purpose for collecting Personal Information,
(iv) the categories of third parties with whom we have shared Personal Information, and
(v) the specific pieces of Personal Information we hold about an individual that we collected in the preceding 12 months.

Additionally, California residents have the right to request that we disclose to them:
(i) the categories of Personal Information that we disclosed about them for a business purpose in the preceding 12 months. Genuent does not sell personal information 

Deletion Rights:

California residents have the right to request that we delete any Personal Information about them which we have collected from them.

California residents’ Right to Disclosure and Access and Right to Deletion are subject to certain parameters.  Genuent must receive and confirm a verifiable consumer request from the requesting individual in order to disclose or delete the relevant information.  Genuent cannot disclose specific pieces of Personal Information if the disclosure would create a substantial, articulable, and unreasonable risk to the security of the Personal Information, your account with us, or the security of Genuent’s systems of networks.  Genuent may deny a request for deletion if maintaining the Personal Information is necessary for us to:

  • complete a transaction for which the Personal Information was collected, provide a good or service requested by the consumer or otherwise perform a contract between the business and the consumer;
  • detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent or illegal activity (or prosecute those responsible for that activity);
  • debug to identify and repair functionality errors;
  • exercise or ensure the right of another to exercise free speech or another legal right;
  • comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act, which compels the production of or access to electronic communication information or electronic device information with a search warrant;
  • if the consumer has provided informed consent, engage in research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws;
  • to enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with the consumer’s expectations given their relationship with the business;
  • comply with a legal obligation;
  • otherwise use the information internally in a lawful manner compatible with the context in which the consumer provided it.

Response Time:  We will handle requests as required under applicable California Laws. When a request is made, we may verify your identity to protect your privacy and security. We will generally respond to rights requests within 45 days following receipt at the toll-free number, e–mail address, or website link stated above.  Additional time (up to 90 additional days) may be necessary to process your request.  If such an extension is needed, we will inform you of the extension and the reasons why additional time is necessary within 45 days of receiving your request.  Please note that we are only required to respond to disclosure requests from a customer twice in a 12-month period.
